The Bombeiros Voluntarios da Ericeira are a big part of our community. They are there for us in fires, storms, accidents and emergencies - and over the last few years they've worked incredibly hard to keep our area safe.
This Halloween we want to say thank you.
WHO ARE THE BOMBEIROS?
The Bombeiros Voluntarios da Ericeira are our local volunteer fire and rescue service. They respond to emergencies throughout Ericeira and the surrounding area, working alongside other emergency and civil protection services.
WHY ARE WE RAISING MONEY?
They are there for our community - during the wildfires over the last few years, during the storms last winter, and every day in between.
This festival is our way of giving something back to the people who do so much for our area.
HOW ARE THEY FUNDED?
The Bombeiros receive municipal support and other funding, but keeping the fire and rescue service running takes a lot of resources - vehicles, equipment, training, maintenance and everyday costs.
Community support helps them continue their essential work.
THEY'RE COMING TO SEE US!
FIRE ENGINE AT THE FESTIVAL!
The Ericeira Bombeiros will be joining us on the day
with one of their large fire engines. The kids will be able to
explore the truck, see the equipment and meet some of the
Bombeiros. A great change for families to say thank you in person.
