A community Halloween celebration by the sea. Where families decorate thier cars, dress up, create games, for children and adults to enjoy alike, and come together for an afternoon of Halloween fun!

WHAT IS TRUNK OR TREAT?
TRUNK OR TREAT IS HALLOWEEN WITH A TWIST.
Instead of children going door-to-door, families gather together in one place, with decorated cars becoming little Halloween worlds.
Each participating car creates its own theme, decoration, and simple game or activity for children. Kids move from car to car, playing games, collecting treats and discovering what each family has crated.
You dont need to be an expert decorator. A little creativity, a costume, and a fun idea are all you need!

Up to 25 cars will transforming Halloween worlds!
Think haunted houses, witches, monsters, forests, pirates, vampires, or something completely unexpected.
GAMES AND TREATS
Every participating car brings a simple game, challenge, or activity for the children.
Complete the challenge, get your treat and move on to the next Halloween world.

Halloween fun doesn't stop at the cars!
Music inside, and skate / surf inspired games around the back!
MUSIC, FOOD & COMMUNITY
Music, food trucks, drinks, costumes, friends, and plenty of space to hang out!
Bring a picnic blanket, meet other families and stay for the afternoon.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CAR?
Your car becomes your Halloween "house" for the afternoon.

HOW IT WORKS

Tell us about your family, your car, and your halloween idea.
4 - PLAY
Set up your Halloween world and get ready for the kids!
2 - GET CREATIVE
Decorate your car, plan your costumes, and prepare a simple game or activity.
5 - TRUNK OR TREAT
Children move between the cars, playing games and collecting treats.
3 - ARRIVE
Bring your decorated car to Boardriders at your allocated arrival time.
6 - ENJOY THE DAY
Once the Trunk or Treat winds down, stay for the music, skate/surf activities, food and community fun.

We have space for ONLY 25 CARS! So registration is required.
Your registration helps us plan the layout, parking, activities, and number of participating families.
Registration does not automatically guarantee a place.
We will review registrations and confirm your place by email and WhatsApp.

You don't need to create an elaborate production (although those will be utterly amazing) keep it simple and keep it fun!

FAQ's
Is Trunk or Treat free?
Yes. The event is a community Halloween celebration and attendance is free. If you are joining us without a Trunk or Treat car, we ask for a minimum of €5 donation at the entrance. with all donations going towards the Ericeira Bombeiros.
If you are bringing a car for Trunk or Treat, registration is required in advance and there is NO ENTRY FEE - we simply ask you to bring your creativity, a game for the kids and plenty of Halloween spirit!
Everyone is welcome - come along, dress up and enjoy the day!
Can I donate more?
Absolutely! €5 is the minimum, but if you'd like to give more, every extra euro is very welcome and will help us raise as much as possible for the Bombeiros.
Do I need to register to attend?
No. General visitors don’t need to register. Only families who want to participate with a decorated car need to register.
How many cars can participate?
We are keeping the event small and intimate, with space for approximately 25 participating cars.
Do I have to decorate my car?
Yes, if you’re participating in Trunk or Treat. Your car becomes your Halloween world.
It doesn’t have to be expensive or elaborate — creativity is more important than budget.
Do I need to provide a game?
Yes. Each participating car should have a simple game, challenge or activity for children.
Do I have to give out sweets?
Participating cars should provide treats for the children visiting their Halloween world.
What ages is it for?
The event is designed primarily for families and children, with activities suitable for a range of ages.
Can adults come without children?
Of course. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the event.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome only where permitted by the venue and provided they are comfortable around crowds and children. Please keep dogs under control at all times.
What happens if it rains?
We’ll announce any significant changes to the event through our social media and WhatsApp channels.
Where does the money go?
The event is raising money for Ericeira Bombeiros, supporting the local volunteer firefighters who serve our community.
Can I volunteer?
Absolutely. We’re looking for people to help with setup, activities, games, photography, music, clean-up and general event support.
